Benefits
Our proposals respond to the following concerns:
- On the eastern M25 there are gaps between MSAs which exceed the current 28 mile (or 30-minute) maximum spacing set by National Highways
- 86% of HGV facilities across the southeast do not have security features such as lighting, fencing and CCTV
- Under current government plans all new cars sold by 2035 should be electric, making EV charging facilities on public networks a key issue.
We are offering:
- A space to refresh, purchase necessities, and rest
- Over 1000 parking spaces for all vehicle types and road users, nearly 200 of which are EV ready with provision for further spaces to be converted to EV charging spaces in the future.
- £155 million investment
- Significant job creation during both the construction and operational phases, with at least 300 new full-time jobs
- Nearly 38 hectares of space to keep UK motorist safe and refreshed
- Green space and a new biodiverse habitat
- No harm to protected habitats or woodland
